With the end of the Second World War, the locomotive and wagon workshops were rebuilt in Simeria, the marble processing industry, the scrap metal preparation industry for the Hunedoara steelworks were developed, a milk industrialization factory was set up, the agriculture, fruit growing, animal husbandry.In 1952 Simeria was declared a city, including the neighboring localities of Simeria Veche, Cărpiniș, Sântandrei, Săulești, Uroi, Bârcea Mare.
